  Employees get "first dibs" on rare toys, by looking in the boxes and picking out what they want before stocking the shelves with what is left. Especially the little figures in sealed packaging that you buy and open to see which one you got. They feel through the packing by squeezing them to identify which ones they want, put them aside, put the rest on the shelves, and buy them when their shift is over.

  They left a bright orange box cutter lying around on top of a bin of toys. When I stormed up to the customer service desk to give them the box cutter, she calmly said, "I'm sorry," as though it were some kind of everyday, totally normal inconvenience for me to have to bring a box cutter to the customer service desk at a toy store. She did not seem even surprised, nevermind shocked, that there was a sharp and dangerous object lying around where children are running up and down the aisles. That is NOT right. Even warehouse workers are careful about box cutters even though there will be no children around ever in their situation. I've decided we are never going back in there. NO REGARD FOR SAFETY OF MY BABY (OR YOURS)!!!
